The Royal Festival Hall - in which Skylon can be found

There are three different sections to Skylon: the Bar, the Grill and the Restaurant. What they share in common is a winning location inside the Royal Festival Hall; with stunning views over the Thames River (you will be able to see the London Eye and other grand buildings through the floor to ceiling windows). The restaurant offers the more formal dining experience - they offer French and Modern European cooking in a modern bright setting, with white table cloths and dark wooden flooring. The grill is a more relaxed dining room with affordable menu options served throughout the day such as burgers, steaks and salads. The Skylon bar offers some of the best cocktails in the area alongside a small bar snacks menu.

Skylon is located inside the Royal Festival Hall - a fascinating live venue in the heart of London. You will need to decide on whether you would like to eat in the Skylon Grill or in the more formal Skylon restaurant and book accordingly.

Walk-in bookings: When you are heading to Skylon, if you do not have a booking you will need to consider which section of the restaurant and bar you would like to head to. If you would like to eat in the more formal Skylon restaurant, it is essential that you make a booking at least one day in advance (and if you want to come for a weekend meal it is best to book as far in advance as is possible). However, if you would like to eat in the Skylon Grill, you may be able to get a table without having made a reservation (however, if you know that you will definitely be going there, to avoid disappointment it is worth booking in advance). If you would simply like to enjoy a drink in the Skylon bar, you will not need to make a reservation.

It is worth remembering that both the Skylon Restaurant and the Skylon Grill offer pre and post-theatre menu options. This makes them a good option if you have tickets for a show in the area. For more information on the menus and prices see the official website (link above).
