After all of my years living in London I can honestly say that Mon Plaisir is still one of my all-time favourite restaurants in the capital (it may help that Danny Devito was eating at the table next to me the first time I ate there!). It is an intimate family-run restaurant amongst a sea of chain food places. As you enter, you will find yourself immersed in a gallic world of fine wines, Parisian memorabilia and French accents. The food is rich and traditional and reasonably priced considering the high standards. If you would like to try it out on a budget come for one of their affordable 'plat du jour' set lunches.
