If nothing else, The Criterion is easily one of the most beautiful restaurants in London. It is a large room with a curved ceiling covered in golden tiles. The white table cloth-covered tables sit amongst white tiled arches and golden draped curtains. The food on offer at The Criterion Restaurant is Modern European - ingredients are sourced seasonally from the British Isles and are served in a classy and modern style. For an exciting evening at The Criterion, you should head there on a Friday or a Saturday evening for the live jazz that is on offer. The Criterion is one of the restaurants that sit directly on Piccadilly, and it is a London institution.
Cuisine: Modern European
If you would not like lunch or dinner at The Criterion, maybe you would like to enjoy afternoon tea there instead. Afternoon tea is served at The Criterion from Thursday to Sunday. There are two sittings, so you can either come at 14:30 or at 16:00.
Tube: Piccadilly Circus (Brown Line / Bakerloo Line, Blue Line / Piccadilly Line)
How to book:
Telephone bookings: You can book over the phone using the number above.
Email bookings: You can book via e-mail at The Criterion Restaurant.
E-mail: [email protected]
Walk-in bookings: The Criterion is a large restaurant. However, it is formal. This means that if you want to ensure that you get a table there, it is worth booking your table at least a few days in advance. However, if you in the area without a reservation, it is worth popping in to see if they have any free tables (there is also an afternoon tea option - see above).
